Grand Teton National Park

May 2023

My alarm woke me at 3:30 AM. Wanting to catch the sunrise at the Grand Tetons, I dressed quickly, grabbed my camera, and went outside. The air was cold, and stars filled the sky. I started my 4Runner and drove through the empty streets of Jackson towards the park. As the sky began to lighten, I felt excited. The mountains' peaks came into view as dawn approached, and I knew I had to get the perfect shot. But I was dependent on nature to give a colorful sunrise.

Pulling up to the spot I ran down to the river to set my camera up. There was another photographer and we had a fun time chatting while we waited for the moment to arrive. Once the warmth of the sun hit the peaks, it felt unreal standing there and looking up at the Grand Tetons in their full glory.
